Obviously there are homeless people everywhere, but sometimes they can be surprising. While on vacation in California, there were the typical cardboard sign holding ones, but on one street, a homeless man had a unique way of asking for money. Holding a huge tree branch in front of himself, behind a corner, he waited for an unsuspecting tourist to walk by. Once he found someone he thought would have money, he'd surprise them with, "BOO! Give me a dollar!" Believe it or not, this tactic was working very well! I saw him receive at least $20 in an hour's time! This grotesque scene captured my attention for at least 15 minutes while the rest of my family was shopping. I couldn't believe how well his tactic was working.
